Is every word of Vatican II untouchable? Even where it says that Hindus are "on a loving, trusting flight toward God"? I guess that St. Francis Xavier was wasting his time.
In my parish church we have a lovely statue of St Francis Xavier, carved by an Indian craftsman. It was donated by our local Goan community, who would not be Catholic if it was not for him. He baptised perhaps 30,000 people and endured huge hardships and dangers. Why did he bother?
Why has the Vatican never said that the Aztec religion of human sacrifice was 'on a loving trusting flight towards God'? They have to be consistent about all religions leading to God.
The hundreds of thousands of missionaries, religious, and simple Catholics who gave up everything to serve Christ and spread the Gospel, with many losing their lives doing so, seem to have wasted their time and given up their lives for nothing if the teachings of Vatican II are to be believed.
Not to mention St. Thomas the Apostle. The conciliar church would have just encouraged and "accompanied" his doubting, given his sincerity of conscience.
Ah, correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't we just talking about Müller the other day? Are we really going to trust this guy? What's his game this time? I am not saying that he's wrong here, because he isn't, but what's he up to?
Mr. Jackson is right about this being about fear, however any well- instructed Catholic knows that in danger of death any validly ordained priest can hear a confession and validly absolve a penitent, even if defrocked and laicized, or excommunicated, or suspended.
The Turin situation... Traditionally, that couldn't have happened of course, but this is the modern(ist) day, where the Vatican II revolution and the sin-nod-al "church" (for now) reign supreme...
The Flatbread on the floor nonsense is just another example of plain sacrilege. These so-called "priests" are apostates, plain and simple. And so is the "bishop" of that diocese.
Isn't there a Buddhist monastery or temple in that area? I don't know if there is or not, but if there is, why wasn't the birthday celebration held there? Or at some public venue? Or even a public park?
In truth, the Vatican has never had a consistent position on the SSPX, other than that it was "excommunicated". Several Archbishops and Cardinals in the Vatican who (were) are members of various Congregations who could speak authoritatively have made statements about the SSPX situation, which have been (and are) routinely ignored by the SSPX haters.
Mr. Jackson closes with:
"Écône remembers what Rome has spent sixty years trying to forget.
That is the offense."
Exactly. The SSPX is just doing what Catholics have done for centuries. Put God first.
"...any well- instructed Catholic knows that in danger of death any validly ordained priest can hear a confession and validly absolve a penitent."
Christ taught the obvious truth that no man knows the time of his own death, comparing the surprise timing to a "thief in the night" and admonishing us to stay alert to this reality. So could it not rightly be said that every person at every time is in danger of death? And consequently could go to confession to any priest at any time? There has to be more to Christ's teaching than for us to just be careful when crossing the street.
Well if nothing else, SSPX members should also be allowed to hold birthday parties in parish churches. With of course the caveat that the parties would be valid but not licit.
Thanks Chris! The absurdities and hypocrisy keeps coming. Anything is allowed except real courageous men for God who keep their churches open during Covid and warn their people regarding the obvious irregularities or some may say heresies coming from the Vatican. These men show real love for their flock...keeping them on the straight and narrow for the good of their souls. Oh I forgot, it is no longer about salvation of souls in the Modernist church but about a global new world order. The Norvus Ordo, new order, is perfect for that. It is easier to control an uneducated people.
Thanks very much, Chris. Of course all the interreligious examples you give have been effectively authorised at the very top. An actua
l change of doctrine was not explicitly published or coherently explained. It was just proclaimed with the apparent weight of full Papal authority behind it.
There was the Document on Human Fraternity which Pope Francis and the Grand Imam el-Tayyeb signed, with maximum publicity, in February 2019. All religions are willed by God. This was not a discreet backroom agreement. It is out on the Vatican website and recorded on the AAS.
Of course, there may be serious doubts as to whether the Grand Imam actually believed this baloney. He had earlier called for unrepentant apostates from Islam to be executed if the good of society required. In which case, the two signatures on the Document are worthless.
And then in 2024 Pope Francis advised young people in Singapore that all religions are paths to God.
So why should anyone be bothered about a Muslim "funeral" inside a Catholic Church or a Buddhist ceremony in another Catholic church? Or about the validity of a toecurling "Eucharistic" celebration on the school floor rather than a sacrificial offering on an altar?
I understand that if Muslim prayers are said within a building it automatically becomes a mosque forever. So have the Church authorities handed over the keys?
The conciliar church has handed over a lot of keys to churches and buildings to Muslims and secular buyers that they had to sell to pay the victimes of their sexual abuse crimes or crimes of embezzlement.
Muller "...treats Benedict’s arrangement as the proper solution." Benedict’s arrangement included his assertion that any priest at any time could celebrate the Traditional Latin Mass. Does Muller still recognize this as part of the proper solution? Broadly speaking, it's at the heart of the whole issue.
Hinduism because it does not posit an omniscient, omnipotent, omnibenevolent creator (Wikipedia) Not sure how we go from making martyrs and saints to teach the first commandment “thou shall have no other god before me” to loving trusting flight to God? Which god they have thousands, some not so nice. How is this the same faith and religion? Telling Christian women to do yoga and activate their snake chakras is not a recipe for Christian purity or holiness. It’s a crime. You are opening yourself up to occult spirits and a hell of a fight. Emphasis on hell.
Feel sorry for those kids. ”But he that shall scandalize one of these little ones that believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone should be hanged about his neck, and that he should be drowned in the depth of the sea.”
"The faithful should take the sacrament seriously, study the law, and refuse emotional blackmail....[and] see the larger truth....The postconciliar system...fears the old Faith operating beyond its ability to domesticate it." Chris, your insights are powerful, and I will share them. God keep you in sharing the wondrous talents which He has blessed you to have.
Well Chris, all I can say is the Catholic Church has a long way to go before it catches up with the Church of England.
A few years ago a CoE congregation in Darlington decided to have a shared social function with the local Muslims in the Church hall. In order to avoid offending their guests they covered the pictures of Our Lord so the Muslims wouldn’t see them. Absolutely shocking you might think.
But it gets worse.
At St Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral in Glasgow back in 2017 a young Muslim woman was invited to read from a passage from the Koranic book of Mariam during a service to mark the feast of the Epiphany. The passage in question denied Christ’s divinity.
David Chillingworth, the then bishop of St Andrews, Dunkeld and Dunblane, and primus of the Scottish Episcopal Church, said in a statement: “We also deeply regret the widespread abuse which has been received by the cathedral community.”
No, I’m not making it up.
I left the Anglican Church and joined the Catholic Church to escape from this kind of unholy, sub-Christian nonsense. I’m beginning to wonder why I bothered.
Are we still awaiting the “abomination of desecration,” or is it more than a single action? Are we waiting for a critical mass to accumulate, like an atom bomb?

For instance, Satanism.
Yeah! Tell that to the Indian Christians being "lovingly" martyred by those same Hindus.

The Vatican II revolution puts man first.

You make a great point. Ultimately, we are all in danger of death from the moment of conception...
But to answer your first question- no we don't need to trust him in order to enjoy watching him divide their own camp.
Shawn, you said my thoughts exactly! Thank you and God bless your voice of reason!
"Rome’s campaign against the SSPX depends heavily on fear."
Fear The Lord. Not the dictates of the hierarchy of today's Vatican. As a certain cancelled priest always says, "God gave you a brain, use it!!"
And as Christ said, "Love God with your whole mind..."

Whether this openess includes the Latter Day Saints and the Scientologists...well, who am I to judge?
There was some pushback on these Papal words. So Francis doubled down two weeks later in a message to young people in Albania:

I cannot keep from picturing Our Blessed Lord suffering on the cross. Does the pope not even think about Him?

Did anyone else notice the cartoon head on the vestment of the sitting priest on the right? Seems to me to clearly mark him as non-straight.

As one of “the faithful” I praying this afternoon’s rosary for this intention.

Flat Bread on the floor...are you kidding me. The patients are running the asylum!!!
Are we sure this isn't a "SNL" comedy show? We didn't even know these strange priests
were circulating un-supervised through society. I'm just lost for words anymore. These nuts
have ruined our Catholic Church and Our Lord and Our Lady are our last hopes. Pray Pray Pray!!!
