A fine sermon I heard from a transitional deacon, quoting one of the Church Fathers, I believe: Christ multiplied bread; Christ turned water into wine. So we know that He has "power" over both, letting us know that He certainly is able to change them into His Body and Blood. That sermon was given about 45 years ago, and I still remember it. Leo's Modernist musings aren't worth recalling even now, except to refute them.
What an excellent rebuttal! May I go one step further? It seems that Leo's error is not merely leaving "the faithful without the full truth of the feast" but that it actually DENIES the full truth by using modernist doubletalk to intentionally hide that Truth. It is one of countless reasons I will never enter another protestant supper club meeting masquerading as a mass as it is NOT a mass but another abomination of heresy.
Bravo, Chris! What we see/hear, but you articulated it well.
So tired of this Modernism.
I’ve noticed lately 4 priests at N.O. Mass, are I think, accidentally or attacks from Satan, where recently been messing up a word or more priests, during homilies and leading up or to the Consecration, and I have heard when saying God, (Holy) Spirit, Lord and adding a s at the end - not sure if it’s a tongue to teeth making that extra sound, but seems it can be scandalous to others-esp., new converts or people checking out the Mass.
Never, in over 50 yrs heard a priest do that. It’s like this new sing sings pronunciation that leaves an “s” sound at the end, making it plural. Also getting words mixed up: 1) trying to say by memory or reading to fast. It should be eyes on words and and say each slowly and/or with emphasis to focus. N.O. so hard to focus with disruptions “of the people, and priests facing people and think they have to engage them with the words and their movements ( like moving the cup L to R as he says the words of consecration, when they should be engaging God ALONE!
Mary, help our priests to be more reverent and attached to the Lord! Not us.
The 1965 Missal barely saw the light of day before the liturgists were at it again, ending with all sorts of additional changes. They were wild and crazy times and I remember them well. Sadly, at the time, with radical changes everywhere, very few of us woke up to the damage that was being done until it was largely done.
I really didn't understand most of what you wrote but simply need to tell you that the Novus Ordo mass isn't a Catholic mass and therefore, it doesn't matter what the presider (who also isn't a true priest) says or does.
Excellent summary and, although concentrating on this particular issue, it sums up the entire trajectory of VII's continuous 'downgrading' of the Church's true teaching. Indeed, it illustrates the subordination of Christ's own words to the new belief system of the revolutionaries. (I noted Fr Chicoine's comment that the Protestant Reformation should really be the Protestant Revolution!).
I would just add that this has been going on for much longer than even John XXIII, so the sedes' apparent obsession with the white smoke of 1958, although very concerning, should never be used as a reason to sever the old from the 'new' Church, as if everything was hunky-dory previously. It was a slow progression.
My own particular 'problem' is why the pre-VII Popes never made the Consecration of Russia as Our Lady requested. I can't remember Fr Chicoine's exact words, but to loosely paraphrase and apply them to these two Popes, where were Pius XI and Pius XII in their spiritual lives that anything going on in human affairs - even world war - was more important than obeying God by carrying out that request? Did they not believe that peace would result and Communism be defeated as Our Lady had said?
I've read various so-called 'reasons' but how could they think, especially given the content of Our Lady's warnings, that whilst recognizing Fatima as legitimate, they could then ignore it? Did they think that God would not supply what they thought might be lacking to a human endeavour to unite all the Bishops in making the request? If so, we are back to my first paragraph.
"And he said to me: My grace is sufficient for thee; for power is made perfect in infirmity." They listened to men rather than Christ through the words of St Paul. 2 Corinthians 12:9
I will add it goes back to the 1800s when the masons wrote a book titled Alta Vendita as it laid out their plan to infiltrate the Church in order to destroy it by replacing faithful priests, even a pope, with modernists who serve satan not God. Many would agree they succeeded in Bergoglio.
The Masons and Communists, both long enemies of Christ and the Catholic Church, worked together. The Communists were able to get John XXIII to promise he would not condemn Communism in Vatican II and made a secret agreement to do so-The Pact of Metz.
Also to the French Revolution. In fact the clarion call of VII might well be summarized as 'Liberty, Equality and Fraternity MK II'. Or should that be Mk III if we go back to the Protestant Revolution? It's always just another attempt by Satan to free humanity from God.
Exactly, I’ve posted same info on other posts. But the Enlightenment in earlier 1600s to late 1800s really started the new thought of the world into secularism. So there was a lot going on in society and in the Church at the same time; as again, in the 60s-the wars, peace, sex, drugs, rock n roll at the times the Church infiltrates
had worked their way up in key positions—hence Vat II and the new liturgy that exploded around the world-that was not even supposed to change from the Latin Mass. Except to make the Missal bilingual with Latin and English, since Latin wasn’t being taught and secular schools were the prime institutions. But, so the faithful could understand and still have the Mass of Ages in the Sacred language of the Church, where demons flea.
Satan entered the Vatican in 1958 with Modernist Pope that refused to release the real 3 secrete of Fatima in 1960 that when Vatican recapture soon by God Will, killing all that refuse to Kneel and accept house arrest, and Synagogue of Satan Modernist, Zionist, Communists, .. etc The Holy Ghost identifies, and they killed if unwilling to kneel and accept house arrest.
When the real complete 3rd Secrete made public we will surely understand that if it was released in 1960, Vatican II would never existed and most of the high Offices would be stripped of minion of Satan, and if they had been unwilling to Kneel, repent, etc they would have been hanged to death under the Papal window - at least a week given the birds time to strip the flesh from the skulls and the world be directed to look closely, the wages of sin, Death and but by the Mercy of God, Hell .. and anyone else might suffer the same if not Fearing God.
A lot of work ahead of us, and possibly some killing.
Bp Daniel Dolan referred to a 'post- Fatima era', and that a faithful Catholic is not required to be a 'Fatima-ologist'; I agree totally with the latter. He was not suggesting doing away First Saturdays or any of the devotions. His opinion was that the prophecies, like many prophecies, were time 'conditional' and Pope specific, meant for Pope Benedict XV and Pope Pius XI. Both popes failed to heed Our Lady's request and thus 'entire nations' were annihilated in WWII, Soviet Russia consumed entire nations and spread its errors to the ends of the earth. In 1938 the light was seen in the sky. He suggested the third secret may have indicated a long interregnum. Pius XII consecrated the world to the Immaculate Heart in 1943 and in 1952 specifically Russia. But 'it was late' as Our Lady predicted. "Our Lady requested that Russia be consecrated in union with all the Bishops of the world, but on July 13 she only promised that “In the end my Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me, and it will be converted and a certain period of peace will be granted to the world.” Notice that Our Lady didn’t promise: “The Holy Father and all the Bishops will consecrate Russia to me…”
The idea that Fatima’s time has passed would leave us scratching our heads, wondering whether God had gotten that memo in view of various striking historical events unmistakedly tied to Fatima. What follows is not an exhaustive list.
One striking event is the survival of 8 Jesuit Priests stationed at Feast of the Assumption church (may not have that name exactly right) 8 blocks from ground zero of the Hiroshima atom bomb dropped on 6 August 1945. The bomb detonated at 8:15 am. Emperor Hirohito issue a radio announcement to the Japanese people that Japan had unconditionally surrendered on 15 August 1945.
The Priests weren’t vaporized, nor did they suffer any ill effects from the bomb and eventually died of natural causes decades later.
Note all the 8s and the strong association with Our Lady’s Assumption.
/ August is the 8th month
/ church named after the Assumption, 8/15
/ 8 Priests
/ detonation at 8:15
/ 8 city blocks
/ 8/15 surrender
8, one beyond 7, the number for completion, has biblical significance for resurrection, renewal, restoration, new beginnings. 8/15 is the celebration of Our Lady’s “resurrection”. Although Pius XII didn’t commit to either death before Assumption or Assumption without death, he was visited by a child before issuing the Dogma who simply told him, “Mary didn’t die” (sorry, can’t recall the child’s name.)
This 8 symbolism is where 8-sided churches and 8-sided baptismal fonts (octagonal) originate which would otherwise be hard to explain. There is an 8-sided church 3 miles from my home.
Austria was Soviet-occupied territory after WWII. Pater Petrus, an Austrian Priest, organized a Rosary Crusade. He asked for 700,000 pledges of a daily Rosary, a tithe on the population, and 700,000 did pledge. After 7 years, on 13 May 1955, the Soviets unexpectedly pulled out without a shot being fired.
May 13 coincidence? There are no coincidences with God.
Another striking event occurred at Severomorsk in Russia. The Soviets saw their military advantage disappearing in the early 1980s and planned a preemptive limited nuclear war to take over Europe according to the military doctrine of Soviet Marshal Nikolai Orgarkov. U.S. intervention and supplies were to be blocked by the huge Soviet Northern Fleet stationed at Severomorsk plus air cover. On 13 May 1984, presumably from a stray cigarette tossed away by a Russian sailor, a major fire erupted which in turn caused the stockpile of naval missiles to explode. 580 of the 900 anti-aircraft missiles were destroyed, as well as 320 of the 400 surface-to-surface missiles that carried nuclear warheads. 200-300 military personnel perished. The Northern Fleet lost its strike potential in a matter of hours, and the damage was so extensive that it would take years to recover.
Is the May 13 date of this event coincidental? There are no coincidences with the God of Providence.
Fatima will have the last word, and that has yet to be spoken.
Amongst reciting all the details, I failed to mention that the 8 Jesuit Priests were asked to explain how they survived the middle of a thermonuclear blast. Father Hubert Shiffer's answer: "We lived the message of Fatima."
It is not beyond the realm of possibility, and certainly lies within God's power, that saying a daily Rosary (correctly with Mental Prayer) is thermonuclear insurance. God forbid that we ever get to that point.
Read Rev. Joseph Simler's CATECHISM OF MENTAL PRAYER for a quick take on the subject. If you prefer longer, then Lehodey.
Does any of the above preclude the points made by Bp Dolan being valid?
Many people survived the razing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and lived into old age.
One US military expert who, excited to examine ground zero, was disappointed and reported that it had all the characteristics of conventional incendiary blitz bombing.
Yes, the above precludes the points made by Bishop Daniel Dolan. Additional detail demonstrates that. Moreover, the other 2 comments are sorely in need of context because details present a wholly different picture.
It will now be demonstrated that the Dolan post-Fatima hypothesis is thoroughly disproved, the Priests’ survival of the Hiroshima atom bomb is supernatural, and it is not possible to equate Dresden and Hiroshima ground zero from historical photos. All reliable, objective indicators indisputably demonstrate that Fatima remains in effect.
The argument is made that Our Lady reduced the Consecration requirements to “Pope only” in Her 13 July 1917 words to Lucia. That line of argument is the logical fallacy of Confirmation Bias, where one of several possible meanings is unjustifiably imposed to support a preferred narrative.
The problem with that imposed narrative is that Our Lady of Fatima later precisely expanded on exactly what She meant by a Consecration of Russia, and Her words prove the imposed narrative wrong because She specifies “in union with all the bishops”. Our Lady reappeared to Sister Lucy on 13 June 1929 at Tuy, Spain, and announced that “the moment has come for God to ask the Holy Father to make, in union with all the bishops of the world, the Consecration of Russia to My Immaculate Heart. By this means, He promises to save Russia.”
At no point do we have words from Our Lady either implying or directly stating that She changed Her mind and dropped the requirement of all the bishops of the world. Regardless of the purely human and incomplete view of the level of difficulty, the fact remains that “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible" (Matthew 19:26). As an aid to growth in faith and trust, God often allows matters to get to the point of being humanly impossible so that it is clear the answer comes from Him alone, and that He is quite capable of the humanly impossible.
Given that Our Lady did not change Her requirements, and given that they have not yet been fulfilled, they remain in effect. So, Bishop Dolan is incorrect to suggest a post-Fatima era when the Fatima era has clearly not yet been completed according to God’s/Our Lady’s requirements. His individual points don’t have to be addressed because his base premise is wrong, and therefore all arguments made off that base premise are wrong.
Pope Pius XII’s 7 July 1952 Consecration of Russia did not satisfy the requirement of all the bishops of the world. Nonetheless, here is the link to the Apostolic Letter Carissimis Russiae Populis, “On the Immaculate Heart and the People of Russia”.
The statement that “Many people survived the razing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and lived into old age” would greatly benefit from context.
“The immediate death toll from the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945, is estimated to be around 80,000 people… The long-term health effects of radiation exposure continued to claim lives for decades, with estimates suggesting that the total number of deaths from the bombing, including those from radiation-induced cancers and other illnesses, could reach 237,000 people.”
“The closest known [other] survivor to the hypocenter of the Hiroshima atomic bomb was Eizō Nomura, who was in the basement of a reinforced concrete building (later known as the Rest House) only 170 meters (560 feet) from ground zero at the time of the attack. Another well-documented survivor who was very close to ground zero was Akiko Takakura, who was 20 years old and working at the Bank of Hiroshima, located 300 meters (980 feet) from the hypocenter. She survived despite sustaining over 100 lacerated wounds on her back and described the immediate aftermath, including a blinding white magnesium flash, the collapse of the building, and the subsequent firestorm. While Nomura was closer to ground zero, Takakura is one of the few survivors known to have been within 300 meters of the hypocenter.”
Nomura and Takakura survived because they were in heavily fortified stone buildings. On the morning of 6 August 1945, Fr. Hubert Shiffer was just beginning his day. He was seated in a chair in a small building of wooden construction when the bomb exploded. Despite the absence of heavy stone shielding (he was not in the Our Lady’s Assumption church), he and the other Priests survived.
Eizō Nomura contracted radiation sickness after surviving the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. Although he escaped the immediate blast, he subsequently suffered from severe symptoms of acute radiation sickness, including high fever, diarrhea, and bleeding gums. He survived the initial blast and the immediate aftermath but endured the debilitating effects of radiation poisoning.
Akiko Takakura contracted radiation sickness following the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. She was exposed to the blast at a distance of 300 meters from the hypocenter while inside the Geibi Bank. The long-term effects of her exposure included chronic illness, a condition common among “hibakusha” (atomic bomb survivors). Her testimony details the immediate horrors of the blast, including the intense fire, black rain, and the devastating physical and psychological trauma that persisted for years.
At the very center of the explosion, the temperature exceeded 1,000,000 degrees Celsius. Within a fraction of a second, the fireball reached a surface temperature of 7,700 degrees Celsius, with ground-level temperatures exceeding 7,000 degrees Celsius (12,600 degrees Fahrenheit). The fireball, which reached a diameter of 900 feet (274.32 meters) one second after detonation, was responsible for vaporizing people. The element with the highest known vaporization (boiling) point is tungsten at 5,930 °C (10,706 °F; 6,203 K).
Shiffer and his fellow Priests were within the fireball because they were 8 blocks from ground zero. There was no natural way they could avoid radiation sickness which penetrates even heavy stone construction. Moreover, wood does not do well at 12,600 degrees Fahrenheit, nor does human flesh, yet they survived in complete health.
Father Hubert Schiffer did NOT contract radiation sickness, nor his fellow Priests. Despite being exposed to high levels of heat and radiation from the atomic bomb blast in Hiroshima, medical examinations after the event revealed that his body contained no radiation or other ill-effects from the bomb. Doctors were amazed by this, as they had warned him that radiation poisoning would cause serious lesions, illness, and death. Although examined by medical doctors numerous times over the years, including military doctors, Shiffer and his companions suffered no long-term ill effects, including radiation sickness. He attributed his complete lack of radiation sickness to his devotion to the Blessed Mother and his daily recitation of the Fatima Rosary.
Therefore, Shiffer and his fellow Priests were not affected by heat sufficient to vaporize human flesh plus radiation intense enough to cause all nearby to suffer long-term radiation sickness. The lack of radiation sickness is the factor that clearly demarcates the supernatural aspect of Shiffer’s survival. He died of natural causes 27 March 1982, decades after the Hiroshima atom bomb.
Equating Dresden to Hiroshima ground zero and the surrounding area does not hold up to the historical record captured in photographs. People have opinions, but photographs don’t.
Firebombing did indeed destroy Dresden. However, there is a fundamental difference between the bomb strikes of Dresden and Hiroshima ground zero. Dresden structures were reduced to skeletons. There was much rubble, but some parts of most buildings remained upright. A few buildings retained their complete original frame. Not so at Hiroshima ground zero and the surrounding area. Almost all buildings near ground zero were leveled. Those that remained standing were very few, and none retained their complete frames (see above links for Hiroshima photos.)
In summary, the Dolan post-Fatima hypothesis is thoroughly disproved, the Shiffer survival is supernatural, and it is not possible to equate Dresden and Hiroshima ground zero from historical photos. All reliable, objective indicators indisputably demonstrate that Fatima remains in effect.
P.S. 'Russian-born aviation pioneer Alexander P. de Seversky, who was serving in the US Army Air Force as a major, was ordered to report on the damage and visited both Hiroshima and Nagasaki shortly after the end of hostilities. Seversky saw nothing out of the ordinary, nothing that set apart Hiroshima and Nagasaki from other Japanese cities destroyed in conventional bombing raids. He was very clear in the article “Atomic Bomb Hysteria” he published in Reader’s Digest in February, 1946:
“What I did see was in substance a replica of Yokohama or Osaka, or the Tokyo suburbs – the familiar residue of an area of wood and brick houses razed by uncontrollable fire. Everywhere I saw the trunks of charred and leafless trees, burned and unburned chunks of wood. The fire had been intense enough to bend and twist steel girders and to melt glass until it ran like lava – just as in other Japanese cities.
The concrete buildings nearest to the center of explosion, some only a few blocks from the heart of the atom blast, showed no structural damage. Even cornices, canopies and delicate exterior decorations were intact. Window glass was shattered, of course, but single-panel frames held firm; only window frames of two or more panels were bent and buckled. The blast impact therefore could not have been unusual.” '
The inspection of 'ground zero' looked much like the other Japanese towns and cities that were leveled by hundreds of incendiary bombs - the was no 'bald spot' commensurate with one ginormous bomb. The point being that there were survivors. At any rate, one doesn't have to be a Fatima-ologist or a Suvivors-of-Hiroshima-&-Nagasaki-ologist (books have been written on both cities and the survivors of the bombs) to be a faithful Catholic. A post-Fatima era was Bp Dolan's opinion, and he made it plain is was an opinion. Over the years I have noticed that, not the Cross, or the Immaculate Heart, but the mushroom cloud is the major icon of the post-conciliar Fatima movement. It is fear based in temporal things, not a holy fear of God. Also, it conveniently keeps folks who might otherwise reach the obvious conclusion that there has been no Vicar of Christ guiding the Church for decades, except that the current thesis of the movement depends upon a sitting Pontiff, day after day, month after month, year after year. If, however, the prophecies have been fulfilled as Bp Dolan opined, then who stands to gain by pretending they have not?
"The fear of the Lord is the religiousness of knowledge." (Ecclesiasticus 1:17)
Those 8 priests near ground zero reminded me of the Synagogue of Satan minions in control of those major pro-life groups, controlled Opposition and aggressively taking donation and volunteers and flush it all down the crapper and systematically demotivate volunteers so the leave in disgust and never actually join up with the real pro-life groups, those groups that would have efficiently used the donations and volunteers to have SCOTUS overturn Satan's Curse from Hell by 1980 or 1982.
How many of our unborn babies were tortured to death silently screaming from 1982 till a small group of serious people argued and won the SCOTUS overturning. So, an extra 45 years of mass murder. Wow.
Perhaps God will send a real pandemic that will kill all women at menopause for 45-50 year ..that seems Just, the demonic baby-murdering fatherhood-family-children destroying poisonous sacks of vomit and feces - modern womanhood. A 45-50 year healing period and break from those older Witches and demonic controlled forms from Hell. We pretty much need most you in graves to allow Love-Joy-Life-Hope to return without your murdering evil horrors.
The 8 priests that an atom bomb exploded very near, helps me believe the cold-war was orcastrated my Synagogue of Satan minions in power and coordinated to enslave the world in fear and to flush unbelievable monies and resources down toilet to prevent then raising the world out of poverty, ignorance, suffering, sickness, starvation, ..
And Satan would have been driven out of israel and thrown back into Hell, Likely soon after that - Jesus Christ would return down to earth, God's Kingdom Come.
That commentary by Bp. Dolan - that attitude of 'Sure, feel free to continue with your little devotions, but not because Fatima has any relevance whatsoever to faithful Catholics' - strikes me as so typical a backhanded, double-sided, even arrogant position.
Very similar to the Vatican's declaration on Medjugorje: Approving and receiving (As in 'we'll take it') its spiritual and pastoral fruits, but not acknowledging the authenticity of the apparitions themselves as the source of the fruits.
I would also add, similar to what the author describes, of Leo's sermon not giving more generous acknowledgement of the supernatural source of the miracle of the loaves and fish.
Leaving "the faithful without the full truth of the feast"?
Fr Villa (d.2012) was a spiritual son of Padre Pio & was told by him that he had a mission to expose the Masonic infiltration into the Church hierarchy. He survived 7 assassination attempts for his efforts. He tried to stop the beatifications of John XXIII, Paul VI, & John Paul II, hard to do since JPII for ulterior motives eliminated the important "Devil's Advocate" from the canonization process, thus fast-tracking his own & many others' false canonizations.
Thanks for the link. When I first heard about Medjugorje, I was inclined to believe. Then in about 1984 I read a devastation critique by Abbe Georges de Nantes, and that was the end of any Medjy flirtation I had. And I had believed in Garabandal until then as well. But that belief fell apart as well, although I want to believe in Garabandal -- I just don't.
It’s been said the “Revolution”, and also the Prot. “REVOLT” which I prefer, as it indicates the rebellion it was, over a more just cause like a “revolution.”
very well written and thank you, chris jackson. i have a thought for your discernment. and maybe later, at a time you decide, you could write about it. it is whether the third secret (prophecy) of fatima, at least regarding the first part of which we know, could be a reference to the coming loss of the traditional latin mass, and the understanding of the eucharist as the living sacrifice of calvary, since the pope and the people are facing and mounting what could be mount calvary, and then they are shot down. and noting that the secret was to be divulged in 1960 which was the pivotal year of the vatican ii council. and that, since prophecies can change if we act correctly and change course, prophecies need not become a reality.
Pan-religion-Prevost publicly praises Amoris Laetitia as a part of his faith. He is not Catholic, neither is Trad Inc. but their need to 'identify' as Catholic holds about as much weight as any empty identity politics.
"The Vatican ll Council has had disastrous effects on the Catholic Church. The weakening of the sense of the faith on the part of most Catholics is perhaps the most disastrous of them all. The faithful’s capacity to react against heresy has gradually become more and more feeble. There are some who remain attached to traditional forms of worship, but fail to understand that the most fundamental problem of Vatican II has been the massive defection from the true faith and that the hierarchy which professes Vatican II is not Catholic. Therefore those who wish to remain Catholic must reject the heresies and the heretics of Vatican II." Author unknown.
All the trads I know, reject the heresies and are quite aware of everything historically to recent times what has happened, how it happened and why it’s happening. Hence, the protests against Weisenburger and his”their”plan to rid the TLM. So they can continue even ruing the N.O. further until it’s completely devoid of anything Catholic.
How we worship matters!!!
This is not just Weaselburger’s attacking of the TLM communities and their priests, but that he IS an infiltrate and not a true Catholic. He is an abomination to God on the altar.
This Sunday will hopefully be the biggest gathering of 3.
We aren’t expecting any reversal, and may be worse after, but we are expressing how wrong it is and we will not kow tow to this regime in the Church and promote courage.
Who would have ever conceived in their wildest imaginations that good, solid, learned Catholic Apologetics would be required to defend the Faith against…. other *Catholics*. But here we are. V2 was, in its implementation and outcomes, a second Protestant Reformation.
Well Chris, you can't expect the new church with its new mass and new Bibles, new sacraments, new catechism, new canon law, new morality, revised history, etc. implemented to reflect its Modernist foundation, to teach, preach or act Catholic.
This may sound like an understatement…but…
Good catch !
Thank you and God bless you.
Blessings and appreciation from Sydney Australia !

Indeed. Religious Liberty, Ecumenism and Collegiality correspond to those three.
Exactly, I’ve posted same info on other posts. But the Enlightenment in earlier 1600s to late 1800s really started the new thought of the world into secularism. That was one of the lies the revolutionaries within the Church told when in reality their intent was to destroy the true faith.
Vatican II didn't downgrade the true teachings of the Church; it denied them, doubted them, and/or replaced them with the Modernist heresy.

By this means, He promises to save Russia.”
https://fatima.org/the-consecration-of-russia/

“The immediate death toll from the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945, is estimated to be around 80,000 people… The long-term health effects of radiation exposure continued to claim lives for decades, with estimates suggesting that the total number of deaths from the bombing, including those from radiation-induced cancers and other illnesses, could reach 237,000 people.”
https://ahf.nuclearmuseum.org/ahf/history/bombings-hiroshima-and-nagasaki-1945/
While Nomura was closer to ground zero, Takakura is one of the few survivors known to have been within 300 meters of the hypocenter.”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atomic_bombings_of_Hiroshima_and_Nagasaki
Nomura and Takakura survived because they were in heavily fortified stone buildings. On the morning of 6 August 1945, Fr. Hubert Shiffer was just beginning his day. He was seated in a chair in a small building of wooden construction when the bomb exploded. Despite the absence of heavy stone shielding (he was not in the Our Lady’s Assumption church), he and the other Priests survived.
https://digitalcommons.sacredheart.edu/library_specialcollections/2/
Further context shows how remarkable that is.
Eizō Nomura contracted radiation sickness after surviving the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. Although he escaped the immediate blast, he subsequently suffered from severe symptoms of acute radiation sickness, including high fever, diarrhea, and bleeding gums. He survived the initial blast and the immediate aftermath but endured the debilitating effects of radiation poisoning.
https://hpmmuseum.jp/virtual/VirtualMuseum_e/exhibit_e/exh0203_e/exh02033_e.html
Her testimony details the immediate horrors of the blast, including the intense fire, black rain, and the devastating physical and psychological trauma that persisted for years.

https://www.atomicarchive.com/resources/documents/hibakusha/akiko.html
At the very center of the explosion, the temperature exceeded 1,000,000 degrees Celsius. Within a fraction of a second, the fireball reached a surface temperature of 7,700 degrees Celsius, with ground-level temperatures exceeding 7,000 degrees Celsius (12,600 degrees Fahrenheit). The fireball, which reached a diameter of 900 feet (274.32 meters) one second after detonation, was responsible for vaporizing people. The element with the highest known vaporization (boiling) point is tungsten at 5,930 °C (10,706 °F; 6,203 K).

https://www.britannica.com/event/atomic-bombings-of-Hiroshima-and-Nagasaki
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tungsten
He attributed his complete lack of radiation sickness to his devotion to the Blessed Mother and his daily recitation of the Fatima Rosary.

https://immaculate.one/prayer-is-more-powerful-than-the-atom-bomb-fr-hubert-schiffer-hiroshima-survivor/

Sounds about right?
God Bless., Steven
There was no attitude. I was making it plain that the devotions were not something the Bishop was referring to when he spoke of a 'post-Fatima' era.
You mention Medjugorje as if you believe it's authentic. In case you haven't seen the abundant evidence against it, see Fr Luigi Villa's "Medjugorje: It's Not the Madonna but the Devil!" at https://https://ia600402.us.archive.org/7/items/CV102007Medjugore/CV%2010%202007%20Medjugore.pdf
I used to believe in Garabandal & Akita too, but since becoming pre-V2 I reject all revelations that assume the validity of the V2 church.
Probably Leo: "Jesus didn't raise Lazarus from the dead, He held a 'celebration of life' to raise his memories in the hearts of family & friends."
Good defense… your job is not easy.
Seems to me that any argument made using current thinking and social norms is DOA when it comes to the eternal tenets of the Church
Vatican II didn't just serve to weaken the sense of the faith but to destroy it.
Excellent article! Reveals that Leo seres the same snake as Francis!!!!
We, the flock, and I say this sheepishly, are finally begining to see what Leo is all about. He certainly isn't "Peter the Roman" that St
Malachy prophecied should have come after "from the branch of the olive" Benedict.
Not to mention the whiff on the propitiatory nature of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
Not to mention the whiff on the propitiatory nature of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
I didn’t learn that a real Mass atones for sin until five years ago, after three decades among the Conciliarist heretics.
I am grateful that God gave you the grace to leave the heretical NO sect.
They don't call it the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass because the NO mass isn't holy nor is it a sacrifice.
