He's one of few among the well known Trads who not only sees things as they are, but who is clearly willing to stand up and tell it like it is. Why is it so hard? Because Catholics for almost 2000 years have been taught to obey whatever comes from Rome, their bishop & their priest. Also, ditching the false V2 church for pre-V2 belief & practice is a scary thought for most V2ers. One's social life is very adversely affected for most. And cognitive dissonance can block out even strong evidence for unpleasant & unpopular truth.
Both laity and priests and bishops etc should spend serious time pondering St Paul's words about a love of truth being essential for salvation.
And each of us should pray perseveringly to receive a love of truth from God, for as the Scripture says, "This also is wisdom, to know whose is the gift."
