I think the problem now is that the error is being reinforced in a new form... I am convinced that Prevost has serious problems, even when compared to the popes of the Second Vatican Council era, such as Popes John XXIII, Paul VI, John Paul II, and Benedict XVI, who had many errors and problems. I respect the opinions of those who disagree with me, but despite their many flaws and problems, I think those popes were better than Bergoglio and Prevost in many ways... As I said last time, at least during those times, there was no promotion of LGBT or indiscriminate abortion, and in fact, our position on those wrong ideologies was clear...But how pathetic that Bergoglio and Prevost, far from taking such a stance, are instead solidifying erroneous doctrines as the new orthodoxy! Seeing this situation, I cannot help but feel indignant at the behavior of the traditionalists who insist we simply have to endure and wait. I, too, am inadequate, insignificant, and full of sins, yet I pledge to follow the right path, even if I am left with just one person... May the our Lord Sacred Heart of Jesus always grant you, your family and all your loved ones infinite graces....Holy Mary, all Angels and Saints.. pray for us... Amen.. take care.. have a wonderful day.. chris...

Thanks again, Chris. The whole article is extremely troubling, but this passage is especially bizarre:

"Central to the Way’s method are the infamous “Scrutinies” – intense, invasive interrogations of members at various stages of their indoctrination. In the First Scrutiny (after about two years in the group), members are forced to undergo a public examination of conscience in front of their entire community."

Where have I heard this before? There was the old Skull and Bones ritual at Yale, where a guy recites his sexual history.

And there were the old Joe Stalin and Chairman Mao self criticism sessions where people confessed all their many sins against The People.

The horrific Maoist struggle sessions were popular around the same period when the Way was starting up.

Blokes just can't resist secret rituals. Whether it is the Masons or the various elite sex'n'drinking clubs at Oxford. Yes, the ladies get invited to these upper crust orgies, but you don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to work out who holds the power.

Why am I less than surprised that "the NCW publishes no financial accounts and offers zero transparency."?

At least old L Ron Hubbard was perfectly honest when he declared that founding a new religion was a great way to get rich.
