As dioceses shutter the Latin Mass and Leo XIV preaches against “forms of worship” that “do not foster communion,” Rome’s interfaith machine celebrates Diwali and Nostra Aetate.
1. There’s no moral difference between a priest who says “I, too, an a man under authority” and the commander of an SS concentration camp saying “I was only following orders.”
2. Catholics, especially in the clergy, have been conditioned to believe that blind loyalty to authority matters more than fidelity to God. That conditioning is meant to defuse any legitimate questioning. It keeps prelates from being held accountable and turns the laity into medieval serfs.
3. People like Eric Sammons and his cohorts in Trad Inc. can’t afford to keep criticizing Leo because if they do, they will realize that Catholic ecclesiology is theologically bankrupt. If they make that realization, they will enter into a theological identity crisis that will shake the very foundations of their being. Such a crisis would show that their ultimate hope is not in the crucified and resurrected Christ, but in a theological system that claims to reflect his will yet misrepresents him at almost every turn.
As I recall, members of religious orders used to be told that the voice of their superior was the voice of God. The same mentality survives in many parts of the Church to this day and not just in religious orders.
The priests and bishops are between a rock and a hard place. God knows this--which is why something is going to happen to the Vatican and the West IMO. Jesus said "can't you judge the sign of the times?" Buckle up. The Church has been convulsed in the past--bad popes, three popes, two popes. The Spanish Inquisition. Bloody Mary. The Reformation, the Counter Reformation. What does God do while His church is tossed about on stormy seas? He sends the fervor out into the pews, into little pockets of devotion and faithfulness and orthodoxy. See the Third Orders. That's just one place. See the cloisters and monasteries of men and women who pray night and day to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit--those are Our Lord's spiritual "green houses". See the lay hermits praying in their personal cloister. See St. Catherine of Sienna, a Third Order Dominican who advised the Pope. See Padre Pio, who was persecuted by the RCC for 10 years (forbidden to say mass publicly) because God had had the audacity to give St. Pio the Stigmata of Christ and many accompanying charisms. There is fervor in the pews (even of NO parishes). God's timing is perfect. His righteous anger is justice--And He will sit refining the sons of Levi that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousnous. Trads, hang on, Divine help is on the way. In the meantime, get scrappy and figure out ways to meet for the TLM (maybe rented spaces). The problem will be finding a priest who can say the service. I suggest below watching on the big screen (say, a SSPX or FSSP service) and then go get communioin at a NO mass.
If they were true and valid bishops and priests they would have no problem whatsoever in knowing what to do, how to act, and lead the flock in the true teachings of the Catholic Church. Since they are not faithful to Christ and His true Church, but to that of the counterfeit church, they can only do what their false popes instruct them to do.
I will never accept Holy Communion from a novus ordo heretic again. If it get so bad that the only mass anywhere is the novus ordo, I will not attend but will watch mass online and pray for Holy Communion of desire.
Malachi Martin said that when the new mass was introduced, there were people who went along with it, and there were people who stayed home, read their old missal, and wept...
I would rather die than attend the Novus Ordo Mass.
You would if you'd been getting "examined" by Father Torqemada on the rack, torquing your joints apart. ""Counter Reformation" was necessary, but the Council of Trent was a "biggie" because the RCC had to face its errors that had led to the Reformation. And the Christian world has been fragmenting ever since (i.e., it would have been better if there had been no Reformation re: schism. We have something like 4,000 Christian denominations now, and new ones starting up because a lot of congregations are breaking in two over the question of actively gay or trans clergy or the acceptance of trans as pleasing and acceptable life style in the eyes of God.
The " convulsive " rack was not a method of torture confined solely to Torquemada, but utilized by civil authorities throughout Europe. The necessity of the Counter Reformation, was a given, and hardly. " convulsive. More cold, hard factual history and less Wayback machine, Monty Pythonisms.
'1. There’s no moral difference between a priest who says “I, too, an a man under authority” and the commander of an SS concentration camp saying “I was only following orders.”'
?? So why didn't Christ say to the centurion "away with you, you moral coward"?
----For I also am a man subject to authority, having under me soldiers; and I say to this, Go, and he goeth, and to another, Come, and he cometh, and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. And Jesus hearing this, marvelled; and said to them that followed him: Amen I say to you, I have not found so great faith in Israel. ----
Because the centurion in the biblical passage used his position to express his faith in Christ’s divinity. He was saying Jesus didn’t need to enter his home, which would have made Jesus unclean, according to the Jewish ceremonial law of that time. He knew Jesus had divine authority and could use it however he wished.
The priest in the letter used being under authority as an excuse for inaction.
Interesting - actually I deleted my comment immediately after writing it, because I realized I'd misunderstood what you were saying (too tired really to be replying!) but for some reason it must have reappeared. I got what you have said here about using it as an excuse. Thanks for the reply, though, as I wasn't aware of the unclean part.
Stopped participating in that low brow excuse for worship years ago. This past Sunday, a sibling of mine and her husband, became drawn into an unpleasant verbal exchange, while seated behind a male engaged in prayer. They, as many Novus Ordites are guilty of doing, struck up an audible conversation, which received a firm admonishment from the praying male. A verbal altercation ensued. Years ago, at thi very same," community center," when reciting a Rosary before Mass, two women seated to my front were discussing rhe price of tomatos. Another woman to my left found offense because I did not share her desire to chat while fingering my beads. The noise level of congregants yakking was so high, that the, "prybster," had to come out and bluntly command them to," zip it!" The Novus Ordo is not geared towards those hankering for dignified, solemn, serious worship.
The very concept of worship completely opposes the totalitarian concept of interchangeability of human beings. The missal of Paul 6 is deliberately constructed the way any modern architectural monstrosity is constructed, to turn the eyes and heart away from Heaven and the heavenly, to turn it towards profane objects, away from sanctified things, based on the lie that somehow this rite shows that this world can be sanctified. It empties the sacred space, constructs the “sanctuary” like any meeting hall where the object of consideration is the crowd, not the souls of the people in the crowd, and to abolish the Sacred Mysteries and turn them into “celebrations of community”. The COMMUNITY , defined as a bunch of people happy to be together in some way with Jesus, is not the Bride of Christ, in which the Sacrifice is also the nuptial ritual. The Novus Ordo prayer is a pornographic desecration of that Holy Sacrifice and Holy Union.
Our ICKSP priests and their attendants beautifully process in and out with great beauty and solemnity, hands in prayer posture, their eyes lowered to the ground. We bow to them as they pass.
A Novus Ordo procession is goofy. There's no order to it. With the grace of a duck with a bad foot, they waddle away in their ugly nylon gothic vestments, making eye contact with the congregation and grinning and mugging.
I would rather die than attend Novus Ordo, but occasionally N Ordites show up at our TLM parish. I am astonished at how Novus Ordo women can talk continuously to each other for 90 minutes to 2 hours while the Mass is being offered. Others narrate the Mass with comments like, "What is he DOING? I can't heard a word he's SAYING!" and "This is so BORING!" "I've wasted an hour of my life that I will never get back!!" Once a girl pulled out her hairbrushes and brushed her hair. And of course, they leave the pew in an absolute mess, strewn with their garbage.
I'm old, so I could probably get away with glowering at them.
Ah, memories! I remember being at a Mass where a number of older people were rather loudly discussing their drug prescriptions before Mass. Did I really want to know their medical conditions? They weren't even sitting together, so whispering would have been useless.
A couple days ago, I watched a few Novus Ordo confirmation ceremonies on Youtube. One was conducted like an Awards ceremony: "Will the Sponsors please rise? (APPLAUSE)" It got a little monotonous with the very bad music poorly performed, the immodestly dressed girls, and the flamboyant swishy priests. One was during COVID, and the sponsors were instructed that they could not put their hands on the candidate's shoulder, so they stood 6 feet behind them with their arm in the air that looked like the Not Zee salute.
No wonder confirmation is more of a passage OUT of the Church, rather than into it...
LOL- it was Cardinal Bernardin (research him?) who lied it into the USA, do some research? - Non-Consecrated hands are NEVER to touch the Eucharist ofc
Precisely. If any hands were worthy of touching the Body and Blood of Lord Jesus Christ, there would be no need for priests to have their hands consecrated in the rite of ordination.
Thomas Crammer the lead protestant lead the church in England banishing the alter for a table, got rid of latin pushed communion in the hand standing up and in a few years England lost the validity of their sacraments.
Are you serious? The Catholic Church has never taught that and in fact teaches the opposite, which is why there is (used to be) a detailed purification when a host was dropped. You have made a number of these non-Catholic posts - what is your aim here? Or are you seriously just 100% ignorant about Catholicism? If the latter, please do some serious reading. If you're following the 'teaching' of anyone in particular or any group, stop listening to them, if you're really Catholic.
That is utter nonsense. If that were true, which it most assuredly is not, why should the server place the paten beneath the chin of the communicant so as to receive any particles of the Body of Christ should fall? Of course if one attends the protestant supper club meeting in a fake church under the novus ordo, it is likely to be irrelevant as the priest was likely not licitly ordained according to the 1917 Code of Canon Law making the consecration invalid.
Actually, the ancient Jewish ceremony of the Passover meal involves the head of the household to place a piece of bread into the mouths of his guests. It is this custom that the Catholics and Orthodox adopted for their Most Holy Sacrifice.
It's a Novus Ordo thing literally designed to make the Body of Christ just like eating a potato chip. It is meant to desacralize the Eucharist - and it has worked magnificently well in destroying the faith of Novus Ordo Catholics.
The Apostles were Christ’s bishops being commissioned to offer the Sacrifice which Christ was about to accomplish. Christ never said “take and eat” to anyone who was not going to be a priest.
The Greek word in the Gospel is "labete," which can mean "take," but just as often means rather "receive." In Psalm 80 the Lord says "Open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it." At least since the 5th century, depictions of the Last Supper show Christ giving communion directly into the Apostles' mouths. Communion in the hand, in ancient times, was apparently a local aberration. Moreover, it was not at all like the sacrilegious communion in the hand common today.
I read the New Testament in the original Greek. As for translations, the official Catholic translation, which the Council of Trent declares free from error, is St. Jerome's Latin Vulgate. Jerome renders lambete as "accipite," from which we get our English word "accept."
The idea that early Christians received in the hand is based on a prejudicial reading of a text attributed to Cyril of Jerusalem. But the extending of the hands mentioned there would seem to be an expression of adoration, while communion was received by mouth. In any case, it is certain that no laymen lifted the sacred species to their own mouths. God feeds us; we cannot feed ourselves the Bread of Life.
How can you say that, when St. Basil the Great, in the 4th century, says that communion is received in the mouth, and that only priests and deacons may touch the Sacrament? The only exceptions he allows are for special cases under persecutions, and for desert hermits?
As for English translations of Matthew 26:26 using the word "take," the point is that here the word "take" is clearly not to be taken (see what I mean?) as meaning to pick up with your hand.
These men Bishops lack Supernatural Faith... The good Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre said that they are creating a "new religion" and a "new church." The NO Is their new mass for their new religion and church.
I attended the last TLM at St Cecilia’s in Brooklyn yesterday. One of the saddest closures in a long history of being present at so, so many others over the years in the NYC metro area. I don’t even count the close calls and last minute reprieve’s for some, however the war of annihilation continues with rhetorical violence and edicts coming from Rome and enforced by the local Herod’s, in this case Bishop Brennan. Ora Pro Nobis
I think that Trad,in c have concluded that the apostates in Rome have WON!! So they want survive so they are willing to compromise the truth. Also it could also in other cases be a delusion of satan ,encouraging these people to lose their faith!!!
I've been saying for a long time that there's a lot of diabolic disorientation going round - both in the Church and concerning the world at large. Some outlets fall into both categories.
Catholics true and faithful to the Old Rite and faith are being targeted and phased out. The Conciliar church doesn't want us and is exposing us to get rid of us. They would exterminate us like bugs if they could. This is the beginning of the great persecution against true Catholics. It will start within the Church and spread to the secular regions, eventually to all Christians everywhere. May God have mercy.
In the East, they are exterminating and purging, en masse, Catholics that practice the ancient Eastern Rites. I fully agree with you. The enemies of Christianity in the West would line Traditional Catholics against walls if they had their way. I have no doubt in my mind. Biden's FBI infiltration of TLM parishes wasn't anomalous. It was an organic reaction of the institutional establishment to its spiritual nemesis.
The Knoxville diocese was on the unofficial but widely used Realtor's list of TLM friendly retiree and home schooler destinations. I personally know retirees who moved to Tennessee comforted to know there was a TLM nearby. The World® is at war with us. It hates legitimate, holy, ancient liturgical Catholicism. Eastern Rite Catholics on the other side of the world are ethnically purged and slaughtered. In the West, we are "handled" by Big Church. We are at the mercy of not merely our bishops for our Mass, but at the domestic political climate for our personal safety and security. Does anybody see this morass clearing up anytime soon? Some long term planning is in order for the ongoing practice of our one true faith.
This news makes me physically ill. Why do they want to kill the TLM? Because it is effective at leading souls to Christ and thereby undermines Satan, who is running the ape of the catholic church.
I believe this 100%. Global agenda to destroy Catholicism while ushering in Islamic ideals. Look at the takeover of Europe. Houston Texas, Minnesota, triangle area of NC, all with large numbers of Muslims. But the answer is why? Why trade Christianity for a “religion” which suppresses women, enslaves male children for despicable acts against nature, allows child marriage, etc.
Islam is more an ideology than a true religion. Unlike traditional Catholicism whose supreme law is salvation of souls, the supreme law of islam is to, and I quote, "fight them until all is islam". Their books only give 3 options for non muslims, those being to accept islam and convert, become a slave and pay a tax to stay alive, or be murdered.
Jesus Christ created the Catholic faith, not an ideology. Calling it a "method for living" is incomplete at best, and heretical at worst which depends on one's purpose.
With control of international finance, the Jewish elite are able to not only control the choke points of culture, they also help finance and use militant Muslims as proxy warriors.
"Our messiah will only appear once Europe and Christianity are totally destroyed. So is it good news that Islam invades Europe? It is excellent news! Islam is the broom of Israel." - Rabbi David Touitou of Chabad Lubavitch
People need to pay attention to what the rabbis are saying. What's coming is going to be as bad or worse than what the Russian and Ukrainian Orthodox suffered under the "Bolsheviks" (who were NOT Russian), killing anywhere from 40-60 million, destroying 46,000 churches, slaughtering priests, nuns, and monks in the most horrific ways imaginable.
Supposedly there are "sleeper cells" all over the place ready to engage in murder & destructive mahem when given the go ahead. Chinese, Latin American gangs, etc. Scary thought.
We need to pray more rosaries & offer sacrifices in reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Islam is taking over in the USA now? Really? What about that other Abrahamic religion? The Presidency and Congress are controlled by Jewish interests. Trump took 200 million dollars from Zionist Miriam Adelson, and she's getting a great turn on investment. The President has been providing bombs to Israel, is over there celebrating their genocide of the Palestinians, and saluted his daughter for having converted to Judaism. All of the surveillance state tech billionaires are rabid Zionists. Israel has bombed the Orthodox Church in Gaza, and the IDF aimed a tank shell at the cross of Holy Family Church in Gaza, killing some, wounding many, including a seminarian. This same church was under attack while a Prince of the Church - Cardinal Pizzaballa - was inside.
Islam has never demanded that the Mass be changed, but Jewish influence on the Vatican was partly responsible for the liturgical changes of Vatican II - to change it from The Most Holy Sacrifice, to a meal that literally uses a Talmudic dinner prayer. Novus Ordo parishes during Holy Week circulate a bulletin warning people that they shouldn't let St John's Gospel arouse anti-semitism in them.
AT least Muslims believe Jesus is a great Prophet, who is in Heaven and who will return, and that his mother Mary was ever-virgin, and the most holy woman to ever live. I will not repeat here what Jews say about them...
Fair enough, you are correct. In my view, however, I think high places in government, buying up the government, controlling the government, and buying up media, ai, and surveillance companies are a more present danger than numbers. Just as in the past - who opened the Gates of Toledo?
Obviously, this is a coordinated effort to destroy the post-Christian world, carried out by NGOs who are funded by oligarchs. Sadly, our identity as Catholics has largely been lost, so people aren’t prepared to fight back, and the “west” now stands for degeneracy, which is not worth fighting for: the restore the reign of Christ the King must be the goal.
Tough love restrictions in the name of "Unity"? The double standard is galling.
"We now have unity under one liturgical celebration! You can be united with the rest of the parish at the 9:30am Ad Orientem Latin & Chant High Mass. Unless you're new to the community, then may I also recommend the 1:30pm Spanish Mass. If you're Vietnamese, we sincerely apologize, but you'll need to drive over to St Anne-St Joseph Hien Church. Otherwise, if you like, there's also a contemporary music Mass at 11:30am where they sometimes sing Vietnamese compositions. Oh, that's the International World contemporary music Mass at 11:30am. If you're looking for the guitar contemporary music Mass, we have Praise and Worship Teen Mass Sunday evening at 5pm where you can hear the greatest Protestant hits of the 90's 2000's and today. Oh, you mean the other "contemporary" music, ie. the Haugen/Haas contemporaries from 50 years ago that the Boomers on the parish council demand? That got moved to the Saturday 5pm Vigil Mass. They had to disband the band because of insufficient members, what with half the group now being in Arizona for the winter. Snowbirds, amiright?! They couldn't attract any younger members for some reason.
"Oh, you're looking for a more inclusive Church? Well, certainly, you can head down to St Joan of Arc Catholic Community for a God addressed using gender neutral pronouns, liturgical dance, and great social justice programs. Oh, you mean a different kind of "inclusive"? Definitely! Check out the Basilica of St Mary on St Phoebe Day where they blur the lines with faux deaconnesses "breaking open the Word" and preaching on the Gospel during Mass before the first reading. Oh, still not the "inclusion" you're looking for? Maybe you need to check out St Frances Cabrini, where "all are welcome" with the full rainbow embraced if you catch my drift.
"Still not what you're looking for? Oh, I suppose there's an ICKSP church 2hrs away, 3hrs with traffic. Or there's the FSSP church with no parking. But why don't you want to invest in your own community with your neighbors? Wolves in sheep's clothing? By their fruits you will know them? Lukwarm will be vomited out of my mouth? What does that mean? Are you a rigid backwardist or something? You know that stuff in the Bible's just, like, a literary device or a metaphor or something, right?
"Just whatever you do, don't attend the SSPX. You know, the Oratory of Christ the King? Yea, the one just behind the Church of St Sebastian. St Sebastian with the Pride Flag out front. They don't strictly teach Church Doctrine. Oh, sorry you misunderstood, the Oratory is a little loose with Doctrine . . . Haha, you thought I was talking about St Sebastian's? No, they're united with us.
There was a Novus Ordo loving guy who on one hand said Latin had to go because it is a dead language that no one understands, but said he often went to Vietnamese Masses, a language he does not understand, because he is so familiar with the liturgy that it doesn't matter if he can't understand what they are saying...
Frank Walker over at canon 212 had a great video yesterday. In fact I think he read my mind (the short story that it is). He mentioned the only Catholic bishop we have left is Archbishop Vigano and "someone needs to find a way to make him pope". I have been saying that for a while now and I started to take action. I will only follow Archibishop Vigano and in my mind he IS my pope I have had enough with the Vatican gutter trash! In putting my money where my mouth is I also only contribute to https://exsurgedomineusa.org/ This is the Archbishops American wing. They are growing here, there is a hermitage in Wisconsin complete with a small convent (3 novices are headed to Italy to accept their final vows from the Archbishop). A trad client that I have just made a visit there to get his daughter confirmed. They kept in contact with Vigano and he sent them to Fr. Ambrose in Wisconsin and assured them all the paper work would be in order. The reason you don't hear much is because of the Francis bishops they usually keep a low profile. Bottom line is the real church is coming back. Now we need to start thinking outside the box.
While I wish the SSPX had the same stridency of voice that its founder employed so well, I believe it is the only “life boat” in the Titanic-like wreckage in the Church. The current scourging of Tradition is proof that no diocese is safe…and Leo’s grandfatherly demeanor only serves to mask the devastation containing apace under his reign.
I will not say it is the only one, though given the fact the Rome will pull the plug on all Traditional Rite Masses at some point, it seems a risky proposition at best to try to appease the heretics in Rome in an effort to get their "permission" to celebrate the proper Mass, for that permission can be pulled at the slightest whim of the heretic sitting in the chair of Peter.
Besides, P Pius V in Quo Primum infalliably declared that the Tridentine Rite of the Mass was not to be abrogated or changed in ANY way, and whosoever did so, let them be anathema.
A point of clarification. The first letter is from Johnson City. It’s not from Holy Ghost in Knoxville. I have not seen any copy of their statement yet. I have heard that they will have a final Christmas TLM
The choice of Knoxville for TLM destruction is interesting. That diocese’s neighbor to the east is Charlotte. And with Charlottes diocesan TLMs now relegated to that hideous protestant ghetto chapel in Mooresville - two to four hours away from the NC mountains, options for mountain Trads to the west just got yanked.
I predict the Diocese of South Carolina will be next. Greenville, where a diocesan TLM is commutable from metro Charlotte and the lower mountains is presently an option for the refugees and I think it’s obvious that the antichurch has no compassion for certain oppressed refugees.
Eliminating diocesan TLMs in Charlotte, Knoxville, SC and the diocese of Richmond (if that hasn’t already happened) would create a big desert, leaving only a small FSSP church in Richmond city: far, far away from most points in the desert. If only former Bishop Jugis of Charlotte had invited in the FSSP or the ICK before his retirement, things could have been very different.
If any diocesan or FSSP TLMers reading this are of the belief that the SSPX is schismatic like the weak and effeminate hireling Cardinal Burke says, it’s time to get over it.
I happened to be at the TLM at Prince of Peace near Greenville the weekend after the bomb went off in Charlotte. During the announcements the priest said that there would likely be an influx of "refugees" from Charlotte, and that his flock should welcome them.
I believe there is a SSPX on the other side of Raleigh so not the Charlotte diocese. My family and I attended the last Sunday TLM at Our Lady of Grace. I’m a convert and all I’ve known is NO. So blessed to have the opportunity to witness the beautiful reverence of our Lord on that day. I was moved to tears - spoke to my soul and made me regret not having been before. My heart breaks for all the parishioners who I’m sure now feel lost.
I’ll never truly understand this division caused by Rome. In today’s world when people are begging/searching for tradition, TLm is a marvelous way to save souls and bring them home. Isn’t that our purpose?
We were robbed of the Tridentine Rite of the Mass for 50 years! Until recent years, I was not even aware that Rite of the Mass still existed, but thanks to God's mercy, we discovered CMRI.
Yes, the supreme law of the Church was always salus animarum, or salvation of souls until the abomination of the novus ordo was forced on us. It has NOTHING to do with dialogue or any of the other scandals, sacrileges, and heresies committed by the novus ordo heretics.
Note the attack is in the South. It’s a sign of Novus Ordo weakness there. They need to keep these trads as far away from politically conservative Novus Ordos as possible or they won’t have anyone left in their unholy pews.
RE: The south has some of the worst and most liberal NO Masses.
Indeed they do. I was not born Catholic but entered the Church many years ago after seeing the episcopal congregation implode. I entered the Church in Philadelphia at the Cathedral Basilica of Sts. Peter and Paul during the time of Cardinal Justin Rigali. Everything then that I knew of was novus ordo but I can't say that anything was irreverent. And then, I would go visit my family in North Carolina and go to Mass there. For a while, literally every church I went to was a horror story: People talking loudly in the sanctuary, holding hands during the Our Father like a bunch of insane charismatics, music that was embarrasingly bad, homilies that did nothing to strengthen my faith, people dressed like slobs, etc., etc., etc. I actually started to question if I had made the right decision and for a while, considered converting to the Russian Orthodox Church. Later on, I found some (but not many) places in NC where young priests were starting to change things and were succeeding. Those places had reverent novus ordos, sacred music and they even managed to de-uglify the interiors of their 1970s and 1980s churches. I fear for those priests and the faithful there now that Michael Martin the destroyer is in charge.
Post-Vatican II Novus Ordo parishes are collapsing across the American South—bled dry by banal liturgies, shallow catechesis, and a desperate imitation of Protestantism. In their shadow, the Traditional Latin Mass grows steadily, even defiantly, drawing souls who crave doctrinal clarity, reverent worship, and the timeless Catholic faith their Baptist, evangelical, or Novus Ordo parents never knew.
The TLM doesn’t just preserve Catholic identity—it creates Catholics. And that’s precisely why the modernist hierarchy cannot tolerate it. For all their talk of ecumenism, they reserve their fiercest intolerance for one thing: the truly Catholic religion.
That religion already condemned their beloved 1960s innovations—two centuries earlier. In 1794, Pope Pius VI’s Auctorem Fidei anathematized the Council of Pistoia, which sought to remake Catholicism in the image of Enlightenment rationalism: simplified vernacular liturgy, decentralized authority, and doctrinal softening. Sound familiar?
Those drawn to the Latin Mass instinctively recognize the parallels. And so does the lavender mafia hierarchy of the Novus Ordo religion. They know the Traditional Latin Mass isn’t just a preference—it’s a bulwark against the very errors Rome has condemned before and will condemn again in the coming decade.
While obviously you could be right about the Diocese of Charleston (where I’m at) there’s another thing to notice about Knoxville…according to this article, their bishop is new (just like Charlotte). Deleting the TLM in the Bible Belt doesn’t seem super effective at eradicating it since it doesn’t affect that many faithful compared to other areas. But then again, maybe wiping out the small numbers could be seen as low hanging fruit for the agenda. In any case, as another person commented, no diocese is safe, but I think many of us knew this from the beginning. Perhaps the SSPX could expand and start new chapels? One could pray.
Refreshing to hear your honest assessment of Cardinal Burke, who, one might be led to believe, neglects to grasp why he wears red garments. The impact and messaging of symbols, seems lost in Novis Ordo land.
several points:
That and they're afraid of losing their money streams.
As I recall, members of religious orders used to be told that the voice of their superior was the voice of God. The same mentality survives in many parts of the Church to this day and not just in religious orders.
It isn't Catholic ecclesiology that is theologically bankrupt but that of the heretical Modernists who lead the Novus Ordo counterfeit church.
The sede Priest who contacted me online and wished to administer to me had a lot of problems, I can assure you.
What problems?
I will never accept Holy Communion from a novus ordo heretic again. If it get so bad that the only mass anywhere is the novus ordo, I will not attend but will watch mass online and pray for Holy Communion of desire.
Fiat voluntas tua Domine.
Been in that position for 10 years and counting....
Malachi Martin said that when the new mass was introduced, there were people who went along with it, and there were people who stayed home, read their old missal, and wept...
I would rather die than attend the Novus Ordo Mass.
Would not view the Spanish Inquisition and the Counter Reformation, as convulsions.
We shall agree to disagree. Carry on.
'1. There’s no moral difference between a priest who says “I, too, an a man under authority” and the commander of an SS concentration camp saying “I was only following orders.”'
say what.
Both use their subordinate position as a cover for moral cowardice.
SSPX is the best option
God will ensure that the TLM will continue and endure
Sorry but I am not into the clown masses, the complete lack of reverence to God, the blasphemy of communion in the hand etc etc
Every Novus Ordo mass is a clown mass.
Agree 100%
Correct it is more properly called an abuse that leads to sacrilege
LOL- it was Cardinal Bernardin (research him?) who lied it into the USA, do some research? - Non-Consecrated hands are NEVER to touch the Eucharist ofc
Precisely. If any hands were worthy of touching the Body and Blood of Lord Jesus Christ, there would be no need for priests to have their hands consecrated in the rite of ordination.
Crux sacra sit mihi lux.
Thomas Crammer the lead protestant lead the church in England banishing the alter for a table, got rid of latin pushed communion in the hand standing up and in a few years England lost the validity of their sacraments.
Your spells have no power in this thread.
How is tromping all over Our Lord not an abuse and a sacrilege?
I am beginning to read into your responses, “according to the catechism of Chris griffin”…. Which I will probably never consult.
You are absurd.
That is objectively false.
No it isn’t, Wendy.
Agree, which is why I will have nothing to do with the protestant ape of the church in the abomination of the novus ordo!
I think it’s time for Our Lord Jesus to descend on the Vatican with his whip and cast out all the heretics!
Did you know the term "diabolic disorientation," attributed to Sr Lucia of Fatima, was only said by the impostor, who first appeared publicly in 1967?

Even a broken clock is twice right every day.
There is a cold schism happening in the Church now. Conditions will soon heat up enough to melt blessed blocks of ice.
Yes, thank you for your comments. Even at my age (74) I think I’ll live to see the rise of the antichrist. That doesn’t afford a whole lot of time.
All religions contain, ideology. Islam is no exception. Islam entails what most religions create; a method for living
Jesus Christ created the Catholic faith, not an ideology. Calling it a "method for living" is incomplete at best, and heretical at worst which depends on one's purpose.
Pax Domini sit semper vobiscum, frater.
And not just in Europe.
"God is giving two last remedies to the world: the Holy Rosary and devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. And, being the last remedies...there will be no others." (Sr Lucia, 1957; last public words before being "disappeared" and replaced by an impostor) radtradthomist.chojnowski.me/2019/03/is-this-interview-that-caused-her.html; sisterlucytruth.org
So Muslims aren’t invading the US? I guess Michigan didn’t get the memo specifically Dearborn. I know Israel isn’t innocent so spare me the lecture.
Sadly, our identity as Catholics has largely been lost, so people aren’t prepared to fight back, and the “west” now stands for degeneracy, which is not worth fighting for: the restore the reign of Christ the King must be the goal.
.
I completely agree.
Thank you Chris! This means so much to me.i am currently unemployed but felt moved to make a one time donation.
Thank you! God bless you. I will pray for you.
The CMRI is the only life boat.
Go Sede!
Pope Leo, in the tradition of his mentor, will now perform his rendition of, " Killing Me Softly."
Chris THANK YOU for the link to the post you wrote as a primer to finding and attending non diocesan latin masses.
Relative in S Carolina attends TLM at NO parish was told she was not allowed to go to mass at St Gertrude the Great in Westchester Ohio.
Also seems too many Trads fail to understand the Catholic doctrine of obedience to the Pope.
The south has some of the worst and most liberal NO Masses.
If you’re looking for TLM outside SSPX, FSSP, ICKSP, and outside your diocese, then look no further:
