Pope Provost is doing exactly what all the popes have been doing at least since Pius VI in 1776: Saying all the right things while doing all the wrong things. I do recall a Somewhat Famous Person saying that by their Fruits will they be known.

The Great Sign is that the vast majority of people believe it all began with a Big Bang, as Pius XII ultimately taught, and not that God created the Heavens and the Earth in Six Days, as he proclaimed in Six different Books of the Old Testament.

The Great Sign is that the vast majority of people believe Darwin's Babble about Evolution and not that He created them Male and Female.

The Great Sign is that the vast majority believe a Fantastical double helix molecule determines the color of their hairs and eyes and whether or not they will be "straight or gay", rather than Free Will and their Immortal Soul.

The Great Sign is that the vast majority of Christians have rejected the Apostolic Propitiatory Sacrifice for a Miserable Table on which is Celebrated a Happy Meal, an Abomination of Desolation that confers neither sacraments nor grace.

St Paul said men would abandon the Truth for fables.

Mission accomplished.

"[Mueller] denies that a state of necessity can justify [SSPX consecrations], because, he says, the faithful are not deprived of baptism and penance necessary for salvation."

This is breathtaking chutzpah. As long as the Church delivers the absolute bare minimum, everything is hunky-dory? Don't like the Novus Ordo odds that 90% of our children will abandon the faith? Too bad, they had their chance. You asked for bread and the Church gave you just a crumb? Be glad it wasn't a stone. Now off with you.

Seriously, where does this guy come off?
