Shame on the Vatican. Francis did a terrible wrong. Pope Leo may do the right thing. I hope I am right. God bless Cdl. Zen!

I have been listening to Kengor's book, "The Devil and Bella Dodd". Who currently stands against the commies like Bishop Sheen did?

Reading the book also! I am flabbergasted by the similarity between what is happening to our Church and the agenda of the CP.

Pius XII, although he was one heart with Pope Frantic and Pope Provost, (he believed in the Big Bang, that the Creation and Flood Accounts in Genesis had been cobbled together from Pagan Accounts such as the Epic of Gilgamesh, that liturgy "evolves", and salvation could be outside the church) had to keep up appearances. If he would have sanctioned betrayal, the Italian Grandmothers would have burned the Sistine Chapel to the ground. (How far we have come in 80 years. Socialism and Statism have reduced the men of Europe to impotence, and the women to insanity.)

Many want to "undo Vatican II". I look forward to the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart.

Wow, I didn't know Pius XII said that. Pretty sad.

The SSPX has been misrepresenting Pius XII for quite some time. Fr Peter Scott used to get mad at me when I criticized Pius XII, but he leaves a lot to be desired. But Pius XII, while he condemned many of the novelties and the new ideas, also wrote several liberal encyclicals. Among them was Humani Genus, Sponsa Christi, and De Afflante Spiritu, which liberalized Biblical exegesis. Pius XII also approved a horrid new psalter, radicalized women's religious orders, and allowed Bugnini to do liturgical wreckovation.

Yes and whatever bad that became apparent had to be festering for a while before it was seen. It's very interesting to see the popes ass historical commentators in that regard and to see encyclicals from around 1830 saying just how bad people in the Church had become. The long revolution.

But it Is “papal diplomacy” of a most cynical nature, and not apostolic cowardice. The apostate popes boldly deal with whom they please, the faithful be damned.

I can't emphasize enough what you wrote:

"The Church cannot serve two masters. It cannot reconcile Christ and Mao. It cannot sell out the faithful, bury the martyrs, and call it diplomacy."

Christ has supernatural patience; however, He will not be mocked forever. And woe to those who persist in attacking the Church in China.

Pray for these self-deluded souls.

I think about the theory of evolution bearing its poison fruit, in that man can easily think that he is more advanced than men of former times. I imagine it is even a subconscious thing. It would partially explain why they don't act like Popes did.

And Leo not much different.

Thanks, very helpful. It's much better to do as you did and let those with authority speak because I would think it has all been said somewhere and that is the great privilege we have of living at this time where we can draw on so much truth from the past. Those old papal encyclicals are beautiful.
