It wasn’t a political ideology that motivated the gunman but it was the Adversary. This is the problem - you think the problem is political but it isn’t, it is spiritual, and in doing so forgetting what St Paul taught as the first rule of spiritual warfare; “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
Did you see the movie "Nefarious?" In it a serial killer on death row must undergo a final psychiatric evaluation before he is executed. A psychiatrist is sent in to do an evaluation to determine whether he is sane or not. As the interview proceeds it becomes increasingly clear the man is truly possessed by a demon, even though the psychiatrist does not believe in the devil.
I was listening to Michael Hitchborn of the Lepanto Institute go over a video Robert Westman posted on YouTube before he shot up Annunciation Church. Hitchborn did not play the audio, but read the closed caption out loud (which I am grateful for.) The way Westman talked was creepily similiar to the way the possessed man in "Nefarious" talked, that is, seeming to switch back and forth between two personalities; for instance, Westman says, "I don't want to do this." and then says something like, "F those kids.", then "I regret everything." but with weird maniacal laughter, then he whispers "Help me. I don't want to be here.", then says out loud, "Well, you're here.", then sings, "Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love you, tomorrow..." then whispers, "I hate you." and whimpers and says "I'm so sorry." then he sings, "It's the end of the world as we know it."
In the movie "Nefarious" when the demon was in charge, the man spoke calmly and confidently and said horrible things, but then at times the possessed guy's persona would come to the surface and he would whimper and say "Help me." and that he wanted it to stop, but then the demon would take over again and say vile and horrific things. That's what the video of Westman reminded me of.
I would imagine it took years of repeatedly rejecting the offer of grace to finally and irrevocably slip into Westmann’s own version of gollum. And just like Judas. (The Mystical City of God Volume 3 Book 2 Chapter 5 by Venerable Mary of Agreda explains the “sad perdition of Judas”. He rejected grace after grace to end up in unrepentant hatred of his Lord and Master and of Holy Mary.)
I haven’t seen it no. That would make him no less culpable because there has to be a degree of cooperation between host and devil - honestly not even a demon can make you do something you really don’t want to do. This is why Satan has to tempt, you have to want to do it for it to be rebellion and besides free will is a God-given gift which Satan though he will try with the man of lawlessness can’t take away. It’s like people who use the excuse of being drunk for cheating - as a disinhibitor it’s character revealing not character changing. Btw his mother was involved in the Church it doubtless possessed him to torment her, demons only ever target Gods people, they are not inclined to waste time with people they already have - they exist to mock God and there is no entertainment value in tormenting the non-elect and no mockery implied.
It's a movie worth seeing. It seems to be a quite accurate depiction of how a person who is possessed behaves, or at least how the demon who is manifesting behaves. It is not a horror flick in the classic sense, but is more of a psychological thriller, I think.
There is no doubt Westman was totally responsible and culpable for his actions, regardless of his spiritual state. He let the demon in, and he did not seek help for getting him out. In the movie "Nefarious" the demon explains he was able to gain access to the serial killer because he consented to the possession numerous times.
I agree with your original statement about the real motivation for these killings, and am only pointing out that there is a major change happening in the world. Prior to this, we could see the effects of Satanic (demonic) actions, but mostly the demons themselves remained well hidden. They are now actually manifesting in a much more direct way, and are permitted to act more boldly and directly through people's lives by God because of the falling away from the Faith by mankind.
For those dealing with demonic oppression or who have family members who might be, Msgr. Stephen Rossetti, Chief Exorcist of the Diocese of Washington, D.C., conducts a monthly livestream of Deliverance Prayers. The next session is Sept 8 from 7-8pm Eastern time. See his website for more details. https://www.catholicexorcism.org/ Also, check out his blog entries on the site for short instruction on the Catholic Faith with regards to these issues.
With all due respect Mr. Jackson, correcting your article is necessary, and then maybe take a day or 2 off before getting back at it. Your good work is way too valuable to be be sidelined by a mistake that was easy to avoid.
Minneapolis mayor dismisses ‘thoughts and prayers’ after children killed during Catholic school shooting - “Don’t just say this is about thoughts and prayers right now, these kids were literally praying."
I think it’s laughable that he is so critical about Trump, yet presumes that simply because he is “Pope” and having never ended a war in his life, would presume that he has any practical knowledge about how to create a peace. In the meantime he presides over the end of the most beautiful institution in the history of the world. I witness my faith to people and then wonder, what next? How can I recommend them to the local NO church? The modernists are devils causing the demise of millions of souls! Dogma says we are not to pray for heretics!
Quoting St. Athanasius, “No one, ever, will prevail against your faith, beloved brothers. And we believe that God will give us our churches back some day.”
I will never step foot back into a novus ordo protestant supper club building. It is too painful to consider how Jesus weeps at the many heresies found in it.
Chris, in terms of time you're fairly new on the scene as it pertains to Catholic visibility, but my goodness, your analysis is so good, and your ability to articulate it, next level. There's nothing I want to do more than love the church and be able to rely on her now, with a world gone mad, but she's gone. She barely exists. I refuse to hold a dead corpse I don't recognize and call it my mother. It is exactly as you said, Jesus Christ, is no longer in vogue with Leo, or any of the other destroyers. That is 100 percent clear. They do not worship Him, they do not adore, they do not love, relate, or cherish Him. They put no hope in him, it is a new, man-centered religion, material only. I do not recognize them, nor can I relate to their religion, it is not Catholicism. As Catholics, if we are to continue worshiping God in a building that calls itself a church, we are going to need an alternative. These men have no reason to stop. When you have children slaughtered during Mass, and the most this man can do is to inflame with progressive gun rhetoric and try on hats, you know its a completely impossible situation that cannot continue.
It should be clear I'm the actual center of the universe and I didnt know who he was until recently so he just arrived lol. Im kidding, I think of him as just showing up recently because all of a sudden it seems, his commentary is indespensible.
Yes it was former WH spox Jen Psaki who mocked the "thoughts and prayers". This rhetoric is among some of the more disturbing that is coming out of this tragedy. Lord Jesus, have mercy on us.
The Francis era thought a sobering lesson: criticizing the pope's betrayal of the Faith, however callous, even criminal, results not in reform but in contempt for us (on the part of his cabal) and, ultimately, another pope of the same cloth.
Bishops of our own dioceses, on the other hand, are not infallible. They can be supported when right, and criticized, defunded, even sued when wrong,
Pope Francis, and now Pope Leo, are undeterred by "bad press" – even crime and scandal.
Seems to me that the crimes and scandals of the USCCB and our own Ordinaries deserve more faithful attention – if we're looking for results.
Many of them are criminals. 111 of them - including McCarrick, Gregory, and Mahony – were guilty of covering up for abuse in 2002. Not one quit, but they were exposed, humiliated, and wound up broke.
Many are left, bred and promoted by the criminal caste that caused the scandals. Maybe their crimes and misdemeanors deserve more attention - again, if we're looking for results.
The Triregnum was not simply a vestment, it represented the three offices held by the Bishop of Rome.
The father of kings, the governor of the world, and the vicar of Christ.
When Montini discontinued its use, he and his successors actually abdicated the Throne of Peter, which was, in my opinion, more than any other earthly, corporeal event (including even the Novus Ordo Missae) that led to the subsequent Roman curias who have aligned their heresies with the doctrines of the utterly diabolical, heterodox, and FreeMasonic Novus Orbis Ordo.
"Be not afraid." Christux Rex wears The Eternal Crown, and He has assured us that Holy Mother Church triumphs in the end.
As always, thank you for your reports Mr. Jackson. Can someone please tell me (I’m serious, not hypothetical) how Leo is actually the pope? I’m beginning to think the sedev position is correct. It’s all so confusing. Ave Maria!
The One World Religion must be first and foremost a humanist creed, then belnd with other religions in ¨ecumenical harmony¨. All with a veneer of marketing blurb and imagery. Job done for NWO by 2030.
I believe Prevost is the 7th Head of the Dragon mentioned in the Book of Revelation. The Whore of Babylon. By 7th I mean that he’s the 7th “pope” since the death of Pius XII.

It is a spiritual problem and must have a spiritual cure.

Even if hosting has broken your mind which it frequently does you cooperated up until the point you were a fruit loop
Our nation is spiritually sick.
The entire West is
Absolutely!
The White House didn’t mock “thoughts and prayers,” to what are you referring?
Thank you for pointing that out! I’ve corrected it.
Thank you, that’s excellent. Happy Sunday!
Some in the press did.
Karoline Leavitt, the White House spokesman, roundly criticized Dem Jen Psaki for her mocking those who advocate for prayer.
Indeed, clarity is important. Here is the story of what the White House said:

The White House did not mock thoughts and prayers. Please stick to the truth. Lies just make things worse.

The typical N.O. parish “Mass as performance art” and “governance by Karens” has stymied serious Catholic evangelism. The subject is rarely discussed.

Yes! Sorry!
Keep the truth coming Chris!
I would like to support you but can't afford repeat donations.
Please make it possible for a One off occasional donation. This way you get something from me rather than nothing.
Thank you very much! I will work on it!
That said, a fantastic post as always.
